  1. Critically interpret the historical development and postulates of information and communication sciences and professions and examine the possibilities of their future development
  2. Apply basic scientific-theoretical knowledge, knowledge of information and communication sciences, and quantitative and qualitative research methods
  3. Demonstrate skills in finding, analyzing, evaluating, and applying research results in information and communication sciences
  4. Communicate the results of one's own research in a public and professional context
  5. Independently conclude on the basis of relevant sources of scientific information
  6. Analyse, organize, evaluate and interpret information, information resources and processes 
  7. Implement procedures for descriptive and subject cataloguing of documents and procedures for preservation, organization and development of physical and digital library collections in accordance with professional, legal and administrative regulations 
  8. Apply information and communication technologies for the purpose of designing and implementing new library services
  9. Demonstrate leadership and strategic planning in a collaborative environment of information institutions
  10. Identify the information needs of individuals and society and design, manage, evaluate and develop projects, programs and services to meet them
  11. Present the results of own research in writing and orally in a public and professional context
  12. Comment and critically analyse the idea of reflective and activist librarianship practice
  13. Design an information and media literacy plan for different users
  14. Assess the role, advantages and disadvantages of different models of knowledge exchange and information management in the knowledge economy
  15. Distinguish between procedures in publishing processes and categories of traditional and modern publishing products
