  1. Critically interpret the historical development and postulates of information and communication sciences and professions and examine the possibilities of their future development
  2. Apply basic scientific-theoretical knowledge, knowledge of information and communication sciences, and quantitative and qualitative research methods
  3. Demonstrate skills in finding, analyzing, evaluating, and applying research results in information and communication sciences
  4. Communicate the results of one's own research in a public and professional context
  5. Independently conclude on the basis of relevant sources of scientific information
  6. Plan acquisition, digitization, processing, description, protection, appraisal, storage and management of archival materials with the aim of its long-term preservation, availability and use
  7. Apply modern information and communication technologies in archives and assess the impact of upcoming technologies on the established mechanisms of the profession
  8. Manage records and archives independently
  9. Critically assess the practice and established policies of archival institutions and their role in the information society
  10. Apply the valid legal framework and prescribed ethical rules of the archival profession
  11. Identify, analyze and assess the needs of the creators of archival materials, the archival community and users, and respond to them
  12. Design, establish and evaluate archival services, archival processes and archival information systems
  13. Plan and lead projects and archival institutions, while applying the principles of efficient management and decision-making
  14. Design, establish and implement programs for the protection and long-term preservation of analog and digital materials
  15. Analyze, evaluate and develop services and programs for users
